One of my drives today I was dumbfounded by this ignorant school bus driver and their ability to put a bus full of kids in harms way on 394. This bus eventually exited onto 169 so what was the big rush to move over? I will never know as will everybody else this driver slowed down. If I pulled a class act move like this I would probably would have had 1,000,000 complaints and had numerous fingers thrown my way. Quite the confusion and lane changing going on behind the bus. I see this more and more with school buses but I better not generalize of stereotype because "Amy" from the Roadguy's blog at the Strib will call me a "Redneck" again.

A School Bus

I would also not appreciate the generalization of all school bus drivers. I hold the CDL endorsement and would not even think of doing something like this. It is a complete lack of paying attention of where you are and where you are going. While all all bus drivers get a BCA background check, that cannot stop someone from doing something stupid after the check.
Well you see I was accused of stereotyping cab drivers although I never did. All I did was point out a fact that most cab drivers were born somewhere else than Minnesota. I guess when you have facts that pertain to different human races that is wrong and now I am apparently a redneck for driving a truck. I really honestly don't care who drives cabs, buses, trucks, or whatever. Go figure I must be a chillbilly.
Well, I would have agree with your statement that 'most' cab drivers are not from MN. I would also have to agree that you are not stating anything other than fact. I am sorry to hear that some people object to what you see and observe. I am guessing that you see a lot of non-MN's driving bus because either ISD’s or bus companies cannot find qualified drivers, or people think that driving a school bus it is beneath them. With unemployment the way it is, there should not be a lack of drivers, yet there is. From what I see in your pics, I would have to say that the majority of people could not pass the commercial driving test. In fact, most would have a hard time passing the driving part of the normal test.
Are you Redneck for driving a truck? I never said that. You are out trying to make a living… Moreover, you are still employed unlike many white-collared paper pushers…
I am sorry, I didn't mean that you called a a redneck. I really don't even know what a redneck is.
yep maybe this bus driver didn't make the smoothest move. picture isn't clear enough to read the name, but maybe he/she was unfamiliar with the neighborhood. I have driven one of these rolling playgrounds for 40+ years. Before you knock or generalize the few mistakes bus drivers make compared to the rest of the driving public you should try driving a bus load of screaming kids and have to fight all the same idiots you have to put up with, plus I think busses are more hated than even trucks. I have avoided many accidents over the years by dodging geniuses that can't posiblely get stuck behind a bus (school bus and charter coach). The worst are the right turn on red lighters. Everyone needs to reread that law and use it corectly. What the hell id the big hurry anyway seeing as how I usually catch up at the next light or pass you a little down the highway. What makes someone pull out in front of a bus with 70 of your freinds or neighbors or relatives children on it and make the incompetant driver avoid a collision thus saving your worthless life also. Yep there might be some less than perfect bus drivers out there, but consider the conditions they have been given to work with.
