Jackass of the Day

Not much to say about this guy on 169 at Crosstown. Just notice the point of the apex. Moron patrol will be back next week loaded with more photo's. I only hope someone sees themselves.

I suppose the dark minivan was just going too darn slowly, and the silver sedan just *had* to express his frustration by risking his neck to go zip over to the left lane to tailgate the poor sucker in the white SUV. Who probably would shortly get passed on the right because he, too, was likely not going fast enough....

I see this sort of thing all the time where I get on the freeway after work. The ramp from 90th St in Bloomington to 35W southbound goes to one of those short extra lanes, which then becomes the exit ramp for 94th St. It seems that 95% of the drivers think they need to merge the INSTANT they get down the ramp, or sooner if possible. Even if 35W is bumper to bumper. Even if this means piling up cars all the way back to the ramp meter. Very annoying. Worse when not only do they insist on just parking on the ramp until they can merge, but insist on doing this obstinate mule-impression *before the apex*. Totally unnecessary. And you know that, of course, but it feels good to rant about it. ;-)

Meanwhile, I get honked at for going as much as 20 yards past the apex (remember, there's a whole lane there, it's not like it's tapering off or anything) before finding a safe gap to merge into. *rolls eyes*
