Another Three Lane Shift
Wow, big surprise. 45MPH in the left lane all the way over into the right lane on the phone with kids in the van. Mother of the year material.

Dale, you make some excellent points about the bad habits of drivers, but who is manning the camera that takes all these picture you're posting? I sure hope it's not you, or you're just as bad if not worse than the rest of these drivers, especially since you are supposed to be a professional driver.
Is that right? You think that I am actually looking at the camera when I take these pictures? How many miles have you driven in your lifetime? I have over 2,000,000 driving a tractor-trailer without an accident or any violations. Can you say that? Don't question my professionalism. I have seen just about everything imaginable and then I see more. You think what I do is worse than the rest of these drivers? Your way off. I don't endanger people by snapping a few photos. Ride with some time and you will see. Thanks for your opinion.
OK man, youkr blog just makes me LAUGH!! I hate stupid drivers! My husband is a truck driver too (he is also in the local 120) and the stories he tells me...it's a wonder you guys are still alive!
And to anyone that wonders about a professionl drivers talents? You would be AMAZED what these guys can do in a big rig. My husband has eaten a Subway sub, tacos, surfed the internet on his phone...all while driving a freaking truck! Would I?? NO...but him, he's a pro..he can do just about anything! lol Like Dale, he's never been in an accident. They just know what they are capable of, and are GOOD at thier jobs. Are there people that should NOT do these things? Yes, of course...proof is in this blog! lol But these guys know what they are doing. Lay of him man. :)
Your check is in the mail Jeepgirl. Maybe Dave just doesn't like truck drivers. I respect his comments but you are right. I do this everyday, I know my limits. When I see something interesting I grab my remote and snap away, and Teamster drivers are above the rest.
Well, MOST Teamster drivers a above the rest. My husband works with some pretty stupid ones. Unfortunately THOSE are the ones that the average person remembers. I remember hearing a statistic once, that 70 something percent of all accidents involving a semi tractor/trailer...were caused by the other driver, not the guy behind the big rig.
Are you still in the 120? I'm just curious who you work for...I'm sure you don't want to post it here, but I couldn't figure out a way to private message you to ask. LOL You don't have to tell if you don't want to...just curious to see if it's the same place my hubby works (doubt it tho). Have a great night and thanks for the entertainment! lol
Jeepgirl, I'm not attacking Dale, just commenting on his taking pictures while driving. Even a pro can be distracted if doing something other than driving. Dale, I have nothing against truck drivers, just not crazy about any activity that may take attention away from the road. 99% of the time the stupid stuff on the road is NOT big rig drivers, and not because there's more cars than trucks. Truck drivers are by nature better drivers because they do it for a living. Perhaps my original statement was a bit harsh; I apologize if I offended either of you.
I was born and raised in Norf Minneapolis by blue collar parents. I really don't give a shit what anybody says or thinks about me, so if you don't like me, fuck off.

Also, next time use your name. It will get you more respect.
I was referring to the fact that if you are taking pictures, your attention is not 100% on the road, even if you're not looking at the display.
My attention is on the road. I would know.

Keep the cameras rolling! If more people knew their antics might get preserved forever, they would behave a little better.
