I Hate Being Right......

I am not a guy who thinks he's right 99% of the time and your wrong 1% of the time, but I sure hit this on the head. 694 and 35E morning rush hour. I forget how many years this was being rebuilt and I won't even call the project by it's trendy name, but as far as I can see...... Did nothing! Nothing at all! Looks pretty, but traffic still sucks through here. Why you ask? Let me tell you(again). Minnesotans have a sense of urgency. The need to move as soon as a lane starts or even before, because if they don't move right now, they may never get over. A little ways up to Rice Street, same thing....... I think Minnesotans have a fear of being lonely, that is why you see the "flying wedges" on our freeways and why we travel so close to each other. Me? Well, someone has to be a lone wolf......

It's not the new interchange that's the problem, it's the fact that 694 west of there is still a train wreck, and possibly the only piece if interstate in the Nation that goes to one lane, which it does near (I think) the Snelling/U.S. 10 exits.

When I travel through this area that area near Snelling is another mess. After Rice Street it moves pretty good until you get to Snelling.

part of the reason people stay so close together is idiot spaces. leave more than one and a half car length and some idiot will pull in. i'm sure you know all about them.
